Cipet centre at Chennai is the first institute established by the government of India in 1968 with UNDP assistance.  Since its inception, CIPET Chennai has diversified its activities in almost all disciplines of plastics engineering and technology i.e.  CAD/CAM/CAE centre, state of art facilities for mould design and fabrications, CNC tooling, plastics processing and testing and quality control.  The institute has gained good reputation among the automobile, telecom, white goods computer, health and family welfare sectors by its excellent training and technical services.
